Adams, AngelaAngela Adams, CEBS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Director, HR Services, has been with the Management Association since 2000. She has expertise in affirmative action programs and general HR services, and provides assistance in training for member organizations. Adams has worked in human resources for 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Boston University. Adams is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as designated through the Human Resource Certification Institute and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, as well as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Barlow, MicheleMichele Barlow is vice president at PAR/WACHA, The Premier Payments Resource headquartered in Wisconsin. She manages the education department which is responsible for development and execution of association training and certification programs, conference and event planning, and member service. Barlow is a member of NACHA’s Blue Ribbon Panel, The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents and the APRP Oversight Panel, and is active on other national committees and a frequent speaker at industry events. Prior to joining the WACHA team in 2009, she was a corporate trainer for a financial institution. Barlow earned AAP and NCP certifications in 2010 and 2011, respectively.
Behringer, JohnJohn P. Behringer leads RSM's Great Lakes Financial Institutions practice. He has over 18 years of public accounting experience working specifically with commercial banks, both privately- and publicly-held, and de novo institutions, mortgage banks, investment companies and broker dealers. Behringer focuses on providing advisory and risk management consulting services to financial institutions and financial service companies. He leads RSM's Loan Review practice nationally which provides loan review services to institutions with loan portfolios ranging in size from $100 million to in excess of $100 billion. He has extensive experience providing loan review and internal audit services that include credit administration risk management services; SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, and FDICIA reporting issues; internal controls implementation; and ongoing compliance services.

Caldwell, LanceLance Caldwell is the managing director at Promontory Interfinancial Network where he supervises a team of regional directors in assisting clients with ALM strategies. Prior to joining Promontory, Caldwell was a managing examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He has also held positions at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Choate, TerryTerry L Choate Jr is a Co-Founder and CEO of Blue-U Defense. He has amassed extremely prominent levels of training and experience in law enforcement-related areas of expertise over his 15 years as a full-time law enforcement officer and SWAT Team Commander. He also has amassed significant training levels in high-level corporate security.
Drahota, BeckiBecki Drahota is founder and CEO of Mills Marketing, an agency providing market research, product development, promotional planning, creative and digital services, marketing compliance, and strategic marketing consulting to financial clients nationwide. Drahota is a graduate of Drake University and the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO) where she earned an Executive MBA. In 2001 she received Drake’s Alumna of the Year Award, and received the UNO Alumni Achievement Award in 2005. In 2007, Drahota was named Small Business Person of the Year for Iowa by the Small Business Administration. She and her team are the faculty for the Independent Community Bankers Association’s annual National Marketing Seminar. Drahota is the author of “Taking Your Bank’s PR from Entitlement to Enlightenment.” She is also a trustee of Buena Vista University, serves on the board of directors and chairs the Audit Committee at Bank Midwest.
Flynn, DonnaDonna M. Flynn, founder and owner of SkillsMastery Group, Inc., has spent most of her career in the financial services industry, both as an executive coach and in leadership and management positions. She was the president and market manager for eight banks in the Chicagoland area. Flynn led a staff of 50 during a tumultuous time in the banking industry, and was recognized for her leadership, results and culture change. Her bank was first to be awarded business of the year and surpassed all its peers in its results. She then joined Banc One Mortgage Company as an executive coach and national sales manager, helping them develop a sales and service process within their national organization, and advising the executive team on their leadership, strategy, accountability and results. Flynn currently works with small, medium and large organizations consulting and coaching on sales, sales management, process improvement, customer service processes, management, leadership, team dynamics and development.
Freeman, JustinJustin Freeman, Manager, Risk Advisory Services, has over 20 years of experience working in credit risk management positions in both commercial banking and risk consulting. He is a credit risk specialist dedicated to working with RSM’s Great Lakes financial institutions industry group. Freenan focuses on providing advisory and risk management consulting services to financial institutions of all sizes. He has significant experience in evaluating credit risk exposure as it relates to commercial credits, including, leveraged lending, syndicated credits, shared national credits, commercial real estate, commercial and industrial and asset based lending transactions.
Garnett, AmandaAmanda C. Garnett, CPA, is a manager in the Financial Institution Group of CliftonLarsonAllen LLP’s Peoria, Illinois office. She has more than 12 years of experience working with community banks and is currently responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of tax services for banks served out of CLA's downstate Illinois, Indiana and Missouri offices. In addition to tax services, Garnett performs consulting services and training for banks across the country on call report preparation, regulatory capital and related topics.
Gilman, AmandaAmanda Gilman is a director in the Balance Sheet Analysis and Strategy (BSAS) group at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., where she works with financial institutions in the areas of balance sheet management, asset liability management, and strategic business planning. Gilman previously worked in Sandler O’Neill’s Fixed Income Analytics Group, where she advised on financial institution investment portfolios. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2010, she started her career as an accounting oversight analyst at Eaton Vance Management.

Harper, JeffreyJeffrey Harper brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his position as president of BSG Financial Group, where he heads the company’s sales and marketing divisions. Prior to joining BSG Financial, he was a CPA for Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) as well as a vice president and commercial loan officer for both Crestar Bank (now SunTrust Bank) and PNC Bank. Hernandez, JuliaJulia Hernandez is chief operations officer of The CorePoint where she is responsible for the firm’s operations, model development and customer fulfillment. She began her career at First National Bank of Omaha where she led teams in both sales and operations. While there she gained extensive experience in dispute processing, product value analysis, strategy development, consultative customer diagnostics, and market penetration. Hernandez subsequently worked at Northwest Financial Corporation where she was a member of its executive team and developed diagnostics and strategy development tools in the areas of human resources, retail pricing, treasury services, and wealth management. She has served as an instructor at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and has worked with students at numerous universities in the Midwest developing career management and development strategy skills.
Hileman, JoeJoseph Hileman is a retired detective with the Jaffrey (New Hampshire) Police Department where he served for 11 years. He is the assistant team commander of the Monadnock Regional Special Response Team. Prior to his career in law enforcement, Hileman was a security supervisor for a Fortune 500 company’s proprietary security department. He holds degrees in criminal justice - law enforcement and criminal justice - corrections, probation, and parole.
Hoffman, HollyHolly Hoffman was the last remaining member of the Espada Tribe and the last woman standing on Season 21 of CBS’ hit reality show ”Survivor Nicaragua.” Author of Your Winner Within, she asserts we are oftentimes faced with situations that seem insurmountable. But within each of us is an ability to focus our thoughts, emotions and energy to succeed—if only we have the knowledge, tools and discipline to do so. Her methods are intuitive, honest and adaptable to nearly any situation. Hoffman, a member of the National Speakers Association with a degree in broadcast journalism, inspires audiences to take opportunities and focus on attitude, determination, confidence, desire, faith and perseverance.
Hyche, JohnJohn Hyche, senior vice president at Level5, works directly with clients to understand their challenges and goals. He then guides his team in applying various research and analytical tools – including “feet on the street” research – to define the best strategies to support the client’s objectives. These engagements focus on bringing extensive information, analysis and experience to bear on the issues Level5’s clients face. These strategies are then implemented as part of Level5’s integrated services offering – the “build creatively” activities. Llewellyn, JRJR Llewellyn is a senior vice president at Meyer-Chatfield Compensation Advisors (MCCA) providing strategic direction and tactical planning expertise for all compensation programs designed by the company. Over the past seven years while at MCCA, Llewellyn has provided the guidance and creativity needed to craft customized nonqualified compensation plans, equity allocation plans, annual incentive plans, and comprehensive executive and director compensation reviews that has firmly positioned the company as a leader in the compensation consulting industry. Payant, SeanSean Payant, Ph.D., is the chief consulting officer for Haberfeld Associates. He previously served as the executive director of the Schools of Banking for nine years. He has administered, instructed and authored materials for 17 different banking schools attended by bankers from 18 states. Payant has published articles on bank marketing, employee engagement, goal setting and community bank differentiation. He has presented more than 50 keynote and breakout sessions at industry meetings and holds Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Nebraska.
Puente, JorgeJorge Puente is a managing director at Sandler O’Neill, working with financial institutions on balance sheet management through the investment portfolio, wholesale funding, and derivative solutions. He is responsible for working on the marketing, analytics, and modelling capacities of the Balance Sheet Analysis and Strategy Group, as well as managing the Fixed Income Strategy group. Puente has previously been a key member of FDIC advisory teams on fixed income and banking projects, and a speaker at both industry seminars and for the FDIC and OCC.
