The role of security management involves the identification of one’s assets – buildings, people, products, information, data, and infrastructure – and the development and implementation of policies, procedures and measures to safeguard these assets. Security managers will be expected have up-to-date knowledge of their employer’s work environment, expected employee safe work behavior, compliance with relevant health, safety, security standards as well as key systems and technologies.
