The state of Illinois will celebrate its Bicentennial from December 3, 2017, to its official birthday on December 3, 2018, and the Illinois Bankers Association as well as all Illinois banks have been invited to participate.
This yearlong celebration will showcase Illinois’ rich history through special programs, events and activities held throughout the state. Click here for more information about Illinois’ Bicentennial celebration.
We will have an opportunity to showcase the important role that the banking industry and your bank or savings institution have had and continue to have in helping to build strong communities in Illinois, while recognizing your bank’s commitment to the future success of our state.
The Commission charged with implementing the Bicentennial celebration is relying solely on private sponsors and donors to fund the various events that are being planned around the state. Like the IBA, many industry trade groups are inviting their members to participate and join with other major sponsors, including BMO Harris Bank and Wintrust. Sponsorships of all levels are encouraged and welcomed.
We have selected four possible sponsorship opportunities that can be customized and directed into initiatives in your communities as well as throughout Illinois. Varying sponsorship levels include recognition on promotional materials, event signage, social media and web exposure, as well as invitations to local Bicentennial events. These opportunities are:
Illinois Bicentennial Education Curriculum
Illinois Bicentennial Road Scholars Speakers Bureau
Illinois Bicentennial Veterans Program
Illinois Bicentennial STEM Fusion Community School Program
If you are interested in being a sponsor of Illinois’ Bicentennial celebration or want to learn about other ways to participate, please contact Joan Etten, firstname.lastname@example.org or 708-751-2474, who is serving as one of the Bicentennial fundraisers and who some of you may know as the IBA’s consultant for Illinois BANKPAC. Joan can work directly with you to customize a sponsorship to fit your bank’s needs and budget.
