IBA Future Leaders Alliance (FLA) Scholarship
IBA Members Only

The FLA is an innovative leadership program designed to advance the development of future leaders. FLA offers an exciting and well-balanced slate of activities and challenges for participants with three primary components: education, community service and networking. More

Scholarship Requirements Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to individuals for the class beginning in July 2010. The $1,000 will be applied to the $1,495 registration fee with the participant or respective institution responsible for the $495 balance. Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need.

IBA School Series Scholarship
IBA Member and Nonmember Financial Institutions 

Accelerate your career development by attending the Commercial Lending School or the Regulatory Compliance Management School. Both schools offer quality training and provide participants with the necessary tools to improve professional performance.

Two $1,050 scholarships will be awarded to individuals of IBA member and nonmember institutions. The scholarships cover the entire registration fees for members. Non-members will be responsible for the balance of $775.

Graduate School of Banking (GSB) Scholarship
August 8-20, 2010 - University of Wisconsin, Madison
IBA Members Only - Two Scholarships Awarded $3,750 per recipient
($1,250 per year, applicable to first year students only)

Established in 1983 as a supporting organization to the GSB, the Herbert V. Prochnow Educational Foundation supports research in banking education, and sponsors a number of educational programs and activities.

Each year, the Foundation awards GSB scholarships through GSB sponsoring state banking associations and other banking organizations. The scholarships are based on admission requirements as determined by the IBA.  Each scholarship covers one-third of the annual cost with the institution responsible for the remaining amount. The GSB Human Resource Management School Scholarship
August 8-13, 2010 - University of Wisconsin, Madison
IBA Members Only - One Awarded $800

This IBA scholarship program enables a human resource professional to
expand his or her knowledge of the banking industry and human resource management.

This popular one-week school, designed specifically for HR professionals in the financial industry, addresses today’s most critical HR issues.  This school provides the foundation for new or veteran human resource professionals to tie together the important issues in human resource management with a bottom-line understanding about the business of banking.

ABA Stonier National Graduate School of Banking Scholarship
June 12-18, 2010
University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia
One Scholarship Awarded To A Member of the IBA and/or ABA

The ABA Stonier National Graduate School of Banking (Stonier) offers you the opportunity to build the program that is right for your needs.  You design your own curriculum through a rich mixture of Stonier core classes and a wide-range of cutting-edge electives, or select the more pre-determined National School of Banking (NSB) program.  To highlight just a few of the critical classes, Stonier offers:  Enterprise Risk Management, Deposit Management-A Growth and Performance Focus, Current Market Conditions, Managing Liquidity in Troubled Times, and Effective Leadership.   

Stonier and the IBA are co-sponsoring a scholarship for an Illinois banker who meets the Stonier admission requirements as outlined on the application. The scholarship covers one-third of the annual cost with the institution responsible for the remaining amount. Tuition includes all instructional materials and most meals throughout the week. Three year program or Two Year with an MBA from an AACSB Accredited Institution.
