50 Year Club

Bankers who have worked in the industry for 50 years can be nominated for membership in the 50 Year Club.  This prestigious group of individuals has seen our industry change dramatically over the last several decades.  As a banker whose career has been filled with rewarding experiences and achievements, nomination to the 50 Year Club is a capstone event.

Agri-Business Recognition Award

The IBA outstanding Agri-Business Recognition Award is presented to an individual or entity in recognition of the assistance provided to agricultural and rural bankers to better serve their ag customers. Nominees may be from the banking industry, agricultural or private industry, the legal community, government or educational interests. The recipient is selected for making notable contributions which impact agricultural and rural banking either directly or indirectly.

Banker of the Year

The Illinois Banker of the Year award is the highest honor the Illinois Bankers Association can bestow on one of its members. It is presented annually to an individual whose dedication to excellence has most profoundly enhanced the banking industry. This award of excellence recognizes the Banker of the Year's personal leadership and service qualities, applied not only to the banking industry, but also to the promotion of civic, community and charitable causes.

Community Service Award

The Bank Community Service award honors Illinois financial institutions that go "above and beyond" in the area of community service. Three awards are presented annually to financial institutions that demonstrate a high level of service in their communities. This award is presented for the entire portfolio of bank community service projects, not just a single project.

Financial Crimes Prevention Reward

This reward program recognizes consumers or bank employees who help in the apprehension of identity thieves or bank fraud perpetrators. Award nominations must be submitted by bank or law enforcement officials, with the nominees name, address, phone number and a brief description of how the individual aided in the apprehension of an identity thief or bank fraud perpetrator. The nominator's full contact information also must be included.

Distinguished Bank Counsel Award

The Illinois Bankers Association Distinguished Counsel Award is presented to a distinguished attorney who has demonstrated a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism throughout his career and whose vast knowledge of the law governing financial institutions has furthered the interests of the financial services in Illinois.

Outstanding Legislator Award

During its annual Springfield lobby day, the IBA presents its Outstanding Legislator Award to members of the Illinois General Assembly who strongly advocate for the banking industry by helping Illinois banks to remain viable in a highly competitive and rapidly changing industry and by creating a more positive marketplace for Illinois banks and their customers.
