AIB Training

The American Institute of Banking (AIB), a service of the American Bankers Association (ABA), is a national organization dedicated to offering professional continuing education and training to bankers. The IBA is an ABA Training Provider for AIB curriculum.

AIB provides the banking industry with access to the most comprehensive curriculum tailored for all levels of employees, from frontline staff to senior executives, helping managers map a career path for their employees. The AIB curriculum consists of courses leading to ABA-issued diplomas and certificates, allowing employees to further develop skills as they advanced in their careers.

Learning Options

Self Study

For persons wanting to set their own schedules, this convenient, independent delivery format brings college-level courses to the home or office. Course work can begin anytime with a maximum of six months allowed to complete a course.

Online Instructor-Led

Online instructor-led courses, running from 5 to 16 weeks, follow a traditional classroom format with an online instructor and specific start and end dates. Participants will complete one lesson each week under the guidance of an instructor who will assign homework electronically and grade weekly assignments.

Self-Paced eLearning

Self-paced Internet-delivered courses (ABA eLearning) can typically be completed in two to four hours, although actual time required varies by title. Students can begin at any time, on any day, since all readings, coursework and quizzes are completed online.

Diplomas and Certificates

Turn your educational development into a tangible achievement by working toward a nationally-recognized AIB diploma or certificate. Choose between ten diploma programs and eight certificate programs, each requiring completion of a variety of courses that are offered in either online instructor-led, online self-paced or self-study delivery formats.
